Right now we are so dependent upon oil and gas that the oil companies can charge whatever they want. Down the road if we are all electric, we will be so dependent upon electricity that the power companies can charge whatever they want. Whenever an oil company needs to build a new refinery, consumers pay the costs. The same thing will happen with building new power plants. Face it, we\'re screwed. Buy a bicycle. Or a moped - they get 10,000 mpg. Great. Right now we are so dependent upon oil and gas that the oil companies can charge whatever they want.
